No amount of words 

can say how I feel,


To have someone in my life, 

so loving, so real,

From the time I was born, 

now years on,


You've stood by my side, 

taught me to be strong,

Each time I have weakened, 

I turn and you're there,


With your gentle smile 

and advise to share,

A simple thankyou 

in words is not enough,


For someone as wonderful, 

with such a caring touch,

I love you more 

than I can ever show,


So I wrote you a poem,
