I held you in my arms for the very first time,

Your eyes looked into mine,

And I knew that for a lifetime we would be entwined.

You were so tiny, your features so small,

And you made me feel 6 feet tall.

I cuddled you close, and held you tight,

I was looking at my world's delight.

I cherished you from the moment you arrived,

You made my heart swell with pride.
